Our Story
Our Story
With the mission to spread love and joy one bite at a time, MIGHTYLICIOUS was born. In 2012, Carolyn Haeler was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. As a cookie-lover, she spent years looking for a great gluten-free cookie.
She was disappointed over-and-over again and decided to make it her mission to prove cookies don’t need gluten to be delicious.
3-months later, she took a bite of her latest batch of cookies and realized she had done it. She took her cookies to the local Whole Foods and asked an employee to try them. 1 bite later, the employee was telling her manager to try them. 1 bite and 3 days later, MIGHTYLICIOUS was asked to be a Whole Foods supplier.
Carolyn knew she’d need to raise money to keep up with demand. She launched a crowd funding campaign and started sending cookies to potential investors. It turned out that several investors liked their 1 bite of MIGHTYLICIOUS cookies as well. The campaign raised $5M in the first 48 hours.
