These Valentine’s Day-inspired sugar cookies are tender, sweet, and incredibly easy to decorate. Using our premium flour blend, they hold their shape perfectly for beautiful cut-outs.
Ingredients
- White granulated sugar
- Butter (must be softened, not melted)
- Egg
- Water or milk (milk is recommended for better flavor!)
- Vanilla extract
- Salt
- Ground cinnamon (optional)
- Xanthan gum (omit if your flour blend already contains it)
- Mightylicious All-Purpose GF Flour
Frosting
- Powdered sugar
- Milk
- Vanilla extract
- Corn syrup (adds moisture)
- Food coloring
How to Make
- Cream the butter: Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl.
- Add wet ingredients: Add egg, liquid, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon. Blend well.
- Add GF flour: Mix in the flour and xanthan gum slowly until combined.
- Refrigerate: Store dough in the fridge for at least 1 hour until firm.
- Prep: Preheat oven and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll: Roll dough on a lightly floured surface until ⅓-inch thick.
- Cut: Use your favorite cutters, transfer to a baking sheet, and leave space between each.
- Bake: Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Cool: Cool for 5 minutes on the sheet before moving to a rack. Wait until fully cool to frost.
- Frost & Color: Whisk frosting ingredients until smooth. Add coloring as desired and decorate!
