Heart Shaped Gluten Free Pizza

Equipment

  • Stand mixer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Pizza stone
  • Parchment paper

  1. Mix the ingredients on speed #2 for five minutes. Stop and scrape the sides of the bowl as needed.
  2. Add olive oil and mix on the lowest speed for two minutes.
  3. Form the dough into a ball, divide in half, and form into two separate balls. Refrigerate in an airtight container for 3-24 hours.
  4. Place a pizza stone in the oven and preheat to 550°F (or 500°F if your oven limit is lower).
  5. Lay parchment paper on the counter. Press one dough ball into a heart shape, leaving a raised crust edge. Use a dusting of GF flour if needed.
  6. Trim excess parchment paper to prevent charring. Transfer to the pizza stone and par-bake for 7 minutes.
  7. Cut pepperoni into heart shapes (folding in half before cutting makes this easy!).
  8. Remove crust, add sauce, cheese, and pepperoni hearts.
  9. Return to the pizza stone and bake for another 5-7 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the crust is golden brown.
